Locals in the Amalapuram, a town in the East Godavari district of the state of Andhra Pradesh have begun to fear a plague like rain of fish falling down upon them. No locals witness the rainfall of fish which happened on December 17th, 2018, but videos of the event were taken afterwards and featured on a number of local news reports.


The rainfall of fish has divided the local community. Some see it as an ill omen, believing the fish are cursed and should not be consumed while others view it as a blessing from the gods answer to their prayers preventing famine. We were asked by local officials to investigate in order to calm the local populous and discover the true source of what happened.
